Our Process

At SafeCore Solutions, we provide complete inspection services for fire and smoke dampers, swinging fire doors, and firewall penetrations, all performed with the same precision, documentation, and code compliance. Each inspection follows NFPA standards, includes individual barcode tagging, and is recorded through our FastField digital reporting system. This unified process ensures accurate records, easy tracking, and full compliance with all AHJ and life safety requirements, keeping your facility protected and inspection ready.

Fire, Smoke and Alarm Activated Dampers

At SafeCore Solutions, our inspection process ensures every fire and smoke damper is fully tested, documented, and compliant with NFPA standards.

  1. Pre-Inspection Planning
Our certified technicians review building layouts, and previous inspection records to identify all damper locations and types.
  2. On-Site Inspection
Each damper is accessed and visually inspected for proper installation, damage, and obstructions. The damper is then function tested to confirm it closes fully and operates as designed.
  3. Barcode Identification
Every damper is tagged with a unique barcode for precise tracking and future reference. This system ensures accurate location mapping and consistent maintenance history over time.
  4. Digital Data Collection
Using the FastField mobile inspection app, technicians record detailed information for each device, including photos, condition notes, test results, and NFPA compliance status, all in real time.
  5. Automated Reporting
Upon completion, the data is synced to generate a comprehensive digital report. Reports include damper identification numbers, test results, deficiencies, corrective actions, and compliance summaries for submission to the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
  6. Ongoing Compliance Management
All inspection records are securely stored and easily accessible for future audits or re-inspections, ensuring full transparency and streamlined maintenance scheduling.

Fusible Link Dampers

  1. Pre-Inspection Planning
Our certified technicians review building mechanical layouts, damper schedules, and previous inspection records to identify all fusible link damper locations. Proper planning ensures every damper is located, accessed, and inspected according to code requirements.
  2. On-Site Inspection
Each damper is accessed and visually examined for proper installation, corrosion, damage, or obstructions. The fusible link is checked to confirm it has the correct temperature rating and is free of paint, debris, or mechanical binding. The damper is then manually released and function-tested to ensure it closes completely and operates as designed in the event of a fire.
  3. Fusible Link Replacement
Per NFPA 80, each fusible link is removed, inspected, and replaced during every inspection cycle. This process ensures the damper will operate correctly and reduces the risk of failure due to age, contamination, or heat exposure.
  4. Barcode Identification
Every damper is tagged with a unique barcode for precise tracking and identification. This allows SafeCore to maintain accurate maintenance histories and detailed location mapping for future inspections.
  5. Digital Data Collection
Using the FastField Mobile Inspection App, our technicians record all inspection data in real time  including photos, damper condition, fusible link details, test results, and compliance status. This ensures every inspection is accurate, consistent, and fully documented.
  6. Automated Reporting
After completion, all data is compiled into a comprehensive digital inspection report, which includes:

  • Damper and fusible link identification numbers
  • Test results and operational status
  • Deficiencies and corrective actions
  • Full NFPA compliance summaries for submission to the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ)

Swinging Fire Doors

Our certified inspectors perform thorough fire door inspections to ensure every door meets NFPA 80 and life safety code requirements.

  1. Preparation and Review
We begin by reviewing building layouts and identifying all rated door assemblies. Each door’s fire rating, hardware, and location are verified before inspection.
  2. Visual and Functional Inspection
Every door and frame is examined for damage, gaps, missing or broken parts, and correct labeling. Technicians test the door’s operation, ensuring it closes, latches, and self seals properly without obstruction.
  3. Barcode Tagging
Each fire door is labeled with a unique barcode for precise identification and future tracking. This allows every door’s inspection history and compliance status to be easily maintained over time.
  4. Digital Documentation via FastField
Using the FastField inspection app, technicians capture detailed data including photos, notes on deficiencies, hardware condition, clearances, and test results.
  5. Comprehensive Reporting
Upon completion, the information is automatically compiled into a digital inspection report. Reports include individual door details, compliance status, corrective action recommendations, and summary data for submission to facility management or AHJs.

Penetrated Firewalls

We inspect all wall and floor penetrations to ensure the integrity of your building’s fire rated barriers remains fully compliant with NFPA and life safety standards.

  1. Site Review and Identification
Our technicians review architectural and mechanical drawings to locate all penetrations such as pipes, conduits, cables, and ducts that pass through fire rated walls, floors, or ceilings.
  2. Visual Inspection
Each penetration is carefully examined to confirm it is properly sealed with approved firestop systems. We check for unsealed openings, damaged materials, or non rated sealants that could compromise the barrier.
  3. Barcode Tagging
Every inspected penetration is labeled with a unique barcode, allowing for accurate documentation, easy location identification, and complete inspection traceability over time.
  4. Digital Documentation via FastField
Using the FastField inspection app, technicians capture detailed data, including photographs, penetration type, firestop material used, and condition notes.
  5. Detailed Reporting
Once inspections are complete, the collected data is automatically compiled into a comprehensive digital report. Reports include barcode IDs, inspection results, deficiencies, corrective recommendations, and overall compliance summaries for submission to facility management or AHJs.
